Brentwood Commons

Brentwood Commons is a community-managed ornamental garden tucked in behind the row houses on E. North Avenue and the Davita Dialysis Center at the southwest corner of Greenmount & E. North Avenues.

It is a peaceful oasis used by neighbors for contemplation and reflection and by pollinators for habitat and sustenance.

On the following pages you can find out how neighbors, with the support of grants and non-profit organizations, transformed an abandoned trash-strewn, open-air drug market into the tranquil, healing place that it is today.
